NCC Quick Steps to Cullercoats Beach

Problem

The public access steps down to Cullercoats Beach had deteriorated due to wear and marine exposure over time.

Solution

Damaged areas were broken out and repaired to their original line and profile with Sikadur 41. To improve safety and slip resistance, Ronacrete's Ronadeck Tacktile preformed, non slip nosings were mechanically fixed to each step. These high visibility, bright yellow profiles were bonded and sealed with Sikaflex 11FC to prevent any future movement.

All of these materials were readily available and supplied by NCC from stock to the specialist contractors St Astier Limited, who undertook and completed all of the work.
