Problem

To securely seal the joints in all of the concrete structures of a water treatment works to ensure that no contaminated water could leak into the environment.

Solution

The contractor, A E Yates Ltd, discussed the requirements with NCC who recommended the use of Sikaflex PRO 3WF.

This sealant has now been used to efficiently and effectively seal all of the joints and protect the groundwater in accordance with the environmental policy of the client, The Coal Authority.
